Yes I struggle to keep up with work, kids and social media/networking.

With 20 years admin experience, after having my 2 children I decided I wanted more flexibility, so started Wynyard Business Solutions. Providing virtual assistance or online secretarial support for business and individuals, allowing them to focus on the important tasks and leave the admin to an expert. Service include Word Processing, Presentation, Spreadsheets and general admin.

Started my business in July 2009, so fairly new, so am currently working part-time (1-2 days a week) while building up my business, so I don't have to travel to the city.

Would be interested in learning more about your business also.

That is my goal for this year, to do more face to face networking, so really new to it myself, and the problem I'm finding with 2 small children is being able to attend the functions due to the timing, i.e. 7am or 6pm.

A couple of places you can try include the Chamber of Commerce in your area, they generally have regular meetings to meet local business people, the one in my area has a fee, but there are marketing opportunities. In addition, you could try your local Business Enterprise Centre or Rotary Club.

I also spoke to the gentleman that runs www.networkbc.com.au, which is worth a look, however, as you need to attend fortnightly meetings from 7.30-8.45am, I was unable to commit.
